Jarvis Peprah: Ex-Kotoko chief threatens to 'retire' from club if David Duncan is appointed
By Patrick Akoto
Ex-Kotoko chief executive Jarvis Peprah has kicked against the imminent appointment of David Duncan as the club's new coach, threatening he will 'retire' from the club if he gets the nod.
Peprah, highly regarded as an intelligent communicator, says the decision to appoint the ex-Hearts of Oak trainer is a bad move.
He insists the former Ashantigold coach has an unbridled hatred for the club and will not succeed.
He has warned he will take a backstage if Duncan is finally approved as the new man in charge.
"Duncan hates Kotoko and I don't see myself supporting the same team with him so I have temporarily retired from Kotoko until the news I am hearing happens to be false or when he quits the club," he told Happy FM.
"I can't work with Duncan so if I were a member of the board, I will strongly oppose his joining our beloved club.”
GHANAsoccernet.com broke the news about the imminent appointment of Duncan who is hugely regarded as a tough character.
But his potential appointment has sharply divided the supporters’ front with his commitment and loyalty coming under the microscope.
He is expected to sign a two-year deal as he replaces Mas-Ud Dramani.
