Iwobi struggles in Everton's loss to Ndidi's Leicester City
It was not the best of night for Alex Iwobi as his Everton side lost by two goals to nil to Wilfred Ndidi's Leicester in the English Premier League on Saturday.
The Super Eagles playmaker has enjoyed a beautiful time so far this season in the EPL, but it was not to be against a Leicester City's side who were trying to get there season back on track after starting the season on a pathetic note.
Leicester went ahead courtesy of James Madisson’s beautiful volley just before half-time and scored the second late on through Harvey Barnes after a brilliant counter-attack.
Iwobi at some point in the game had a glorious chance to change the complexion of the game, but missed it.
A situation that summed up how awful the blue corner of Merseyside were on the night with just two shots on target.
On the other hand, his compatriot, Wilfred Ndidi of Leicester saw twenty minutes of action as a substitute while Kelechi Iheanacho was an unused substitute.
It is now two games without a win for Everton, who slipped to 15th on the table with 14 points while Leicester are two places above them with as many points but with a superior goal difference.
