The Desert Fixes of Algeria were 2-1 triumphant over the Super Eagles of Nigeria in an International friendly at Oran Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Eagles had scored first, but the Foxes rallied back to equal score and take the win later in the game.

In-form Terem Moffi scored in the ninth minute of the game to corroborate the dominance of the Super Eagles in the part of the first phase of the encounter.

But Algeria captain and star player, Riyad Mahrez slotted in from the spot to level for the hosts in the 42nd minute after a seeming infringement by Frank Onyeka on Islam Slimani.

The stadium erupted as Youcef Atal's ferocious long-range strike beat keeper Francis Uzoho after the hour mark to give the Algerians the lead.

The match will later end that way as Algeria team extends its winning streak to 5 games.
