Liverpool join race for Besiktas captain Orkun Kokcu

Liverpool are following Besiktas midfielder and captain Orkun Kokcu, according to journalist Ekrem Konur.

The 25-year-old could reportedly make a move to a leading English club, with Liverpool closely monitoring his performances for the Istanbul side.

Two other English clubs are also interested in Kokcu, although their identities have not been disclosed.

Kokcu is valued at €25m by Transfermarkt. His contract with Besiktas runs until the end of June 2030.

The midfielder has made six appearances in the Super Lig this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
