Jigawa Golden Stars have turned to experienced tactician Majin Mohammed to lead their promotion push in the upcoming Nigeria National League season, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The CAF B-licensed coach has been appointed as the club’s new head coach, with the responsibility of guiding the team through their NNL campaign and securing a return to the Nigeria Premier Football League.

Mohammed is no stranger to Nigerian football, having previously handled Niger Tornadoes and Kwara United during his coaching career.

His most notable achievement came with Kwara United, where he guided the Ilorin-based side to promotion to the NPFL.

That promotion-winning experience is expected to be valuable to Golden Stars as they prepare for another attempt to reach Nigeria’s top-flight division.

The Jigawa-based club will be hoping Mohammed can reproduce his previous success and build a team capable of competing strongly throughout the NNL season.

With the new coach now in charge, Golden Stars are expected to intensify preparations as they target promotion to the NPFL.
