Three Super Eagles players will meet when Fulham host Hull City in the English Premier League on Saturday, while Chidozie Awaziem and Gift Orban are set to face each other in Turkey’s top flight.

Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey are expected to feature for Fulham at Craven Cottage, with Semi Ajayi likely to line up in Hull City’s defence.

Fulham have made a poor start to the campaign and sit bottom of the table with two points from six matches. Iwobi has created 13 league chances, the highest figure among his team-mates, but has yet to score or provide an assist.

Bassey has remained a regular in the side and has also worn the captain’s armband since Alvaro Arbeloa replaced Marco Silva as manager.

Hull City, by contrast, are eighth with nine points from their opening six fixtures. Their promising start includes a victory over Manchester United on the opening day and a draw away to Chelsea.

Ajayi has scored once this season and has played a key role in a defence that has helped Hull exceed pre-season expectations, when they were widely forecast to face a difficult battle to avoid relegation.

The match comes at a particularly important time for Fulham and Arbeloa. The Spanish manager has taken only two points from a possible 18 since succeeding Marco Silva in July 2026.

Fulham’s 2-1 loss to Ipswich Town on October 10 increased the pressure on Arbeloa. Reports suggest he has only a limited number of matches in which to improve the team’s results.

Iwobi, Bassey and Ajayi are all available for selection.

Orban and Awaziem meet in Turkish Super Lig

In Turkey, Awaziem faces a demanding assignment as Konyaspor travel to Amedspor, where Orban has made an impressive start to his loan spell.

The 24-year-old striker is joint-top of the Turkish Super Lig scoring charts with seven goals in seven matches. He has also supplied two assists since joining Amedspor on loan from Hoffenheim in July 2026.

Reports in Turkey state that Amedspor would have to complete a €3m permanent transfer if Orban reaches 10 goals.

Awaziem, 29, plays at centre-back for Konyaspor, who are 15th in the standings. They will need to contain an Amedspor attack that has become increasingly effective during the opening weeks of the season.

Amedspor are third with 14 points from seven matches and have avoided defeat in their past five league games, recording three wins and two draws.

Nigerian winger Yira Sor could also return after completing his recovery from an injury that sidelined him for approximately six weeks. Sor was injured against Trabzonspor and had scored once in three league appearances before being ruled out.

His possible comeback would give Amedspor another attacking option as they look to maintain their strong start.
