Chelsea make Alex Scott midfield priority as Lamine Camara price rises
Chelsea are considering two midfield options as they look to strengthen their midfield during the winter transfer window.
The London club remain interested in Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara, despite his proposed move to Chelsea falling through in the summer, according to journalist Ekrem Konur.
However, the Senegal international is no longer the club’s main target. Monaco have increased their asking price for Camara to €70m, making a deal less attractive to Chelsea.
The Premier League side’s current priority is Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott. Chelsea could nevertheless revisit their interest in Camara if Monaco reduce their financial demands.
Chelsea are 10th in the Premier League after five matches, with Xabi Alonso’s side having collected seven points.
