Barcelona name starting XI for Getafe clash as Flick targets sixth straight win
Barcelona host Getafe at the Spotify Camp Nou on Saturday afternoon with manager Hansi Flick aiming to extend the club’s winning run to six matches.
The league leaders have taken 21 points from their opening seven matches and have scored 31 goals during that period, conceding seven. Getafe are 11th in the table after collecting eight points from their first seven games.
Barcelona’s team includes J Garcia, E Garcia, Cubarsi, Martin, Espart, Fermin, Rodri, Pedri, Yamal, Olmo and Gordon.
Getafe name Soria, Garcia, Djene, Romero, Mojica, Martin, Terrats, Gudelj, Francho, Satriano and Unal.
The hosts will be without Roony Bardghji, who has a knee injury, and Andreas Christensen, who is suffering from a thigh problem. Raphinha is also a doubt after sustaining a thigh injury while playing for Brazil during the international break. Flick is expected to provide an update when he speaks to the media this week.
Getafe are missing Juanmi because of a muscle injury and Christantus Uche, who has a knee problem. Abdel Abqar and Kiko Femenia will undergo late fitness tests after suffering muscle and hamstring injuries respectively.
Kick-off at the Spotify Camp Nou is scheduled for 17:30 UK time.
The visitors have not defeated Barcelona since October 2020 and have never won away against them. Barcelona have won 32 of their past 46 meetings with Getafe in all competitions, losing only four.
Barcelona have also won the most recent two matches between the teams, including a 2-0 victory away from home in April 2026.
Raphinha is the league’s leading scorer with 12 goals, while Lamine Yamal has scored seven. Barcelona’s attacking form has helped them average 4.43 goals per league match, compared with Getafe’s average of 0.57.
The difference in possession and passing has also been reflected in the statistics. Barcelona have completed 4,664 passes this season, more than twice Getafe’s total of 2,199.
Flick’s side have made a perfect start to the campaign and will look to maintain their position at the top of the table against a Getafe team seeking a first victory over Barcelona in six years.
