Following Sunshine Stars' slim defeat to Remo Stars on Saturday during the Southwest derby, the assistant coach of the Owena Waves Bobola Akinfolarin stated his team's lack of concentration caused them the game while also vetting his disagreement with the referee's decision to disallow his team's goal, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Akure-based side went down to Shuaibu Ibrahim's seventh-minute goal in an entertaining Southwest derby played at Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, Ogun State on Saturday.

Despite conceding an early goal, Sunshine Stars could have at least gotten a point from the game, dazzling both the home and away fans with some amazing display that kept the opposing team's goalkeeper busy for the larger part of the game.

Speaking on the outcome of the match, assistant coach of the Sunshine Stars Bobola Akinfolarin stressed "We will go back to the drawing board and work on areas that need adjustments."

"I don't know why that beautiful goal was disallowed," he enthused on his team's disallowed goal.

Sunshine Stars will host Abia Warriors at theĀ  Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode on Sunday in matchday 3 of the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
