Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak travelled to Benin for the second-leg of their Confederation Cup clash with AS Police on Thursday despite reports the trip being aborted because of lack of finance.

The local media had reported that the Phobians were unable to raise funds to embark on the bus trip to Cotonou, the capital of Benin.

But the delegation left the club's offices in Accra on Thursday muting concerns that they are huge financial problems at the club.

The contingent was led by Ghana FA Executive Eddie Doku who was part of the 30-man delegation.

The  Phobians take a 1-0 advantage into the second leg after winning the previous fixture in Accra thanks to Selasi Adjei's 46th minute strike.
