Hearts have moved their camping base to Akuse to intensify preparations ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup first leg tie against Esperance.

The former African champions were forced to recall their players from break after they drawn against the Tunisian giants in the final qualifying lap.

The meeting of the two giants is a repeat of the 2000 finals where the Phobians edged past their star-studded opponent to clinch the African title for the first time.

Fast forward and many things have changed since with Esperance maintaining their dominant performance in Africa’s inter-club competition while Hearts have struggled during the same period.

Hearts coach Herbert Addo is leaving no stone unturned in his quest to bag a famous victory over Esperance and advance to the group phase of the competition.

The Ghanaian giants have impressed heavily this year despite a purple patchy run on the domestic scene with a decent away displays so far.

They will be counting on their fine form away from home to pull off one of the biggest wins in their recent history against one of the finest sides on the continent.

There are no major injury worries for coach Addo after winger Ollenu Ashitey returned to the team after a long injury lay-off.
