Hearts coach Herbert Addo has attributed his side’s 1-0 defeat to AC Djoliba in the CAF Confederation Cup to fatigue.

The Phobians huffed and puffed as they lost in front of their home fans on Sunday.

Yet the Ghanaians progressed to the final qualifying lap on the away goal-rule after winning 2-1 in Mali two weeks ago.

Coach Addo feels their tight schedule attributed to their defeat.

“We lost because fatigue has set in the team. We have played 3 games in 10 days against Olympics, Ashgold and Djoliba, so most of the boys were tired,” he said

“All the same I think the game gave some of the young players an experience in continental football.”
