Heartland Captain Efugh Pleas With LMC To Postpone Friday Night Game Against Rangers
Heartland Captain, Chinedu Efugh, has pleaded with the League Management Company (LMC) to shift the ‘Oriental derby’ between his side and Enugu Rangers billed for Friday night to allow them enough time to rest. Heartland were guests to Kano Pillars last Sunday when the two teams engaged one another in their WeekDay 17 match. The encounter ended 0 – 0. Efugh, yesterday, reasoned that it would be a big load on them to play today (Wednesday) and also engage Rangers on Friday. “We are playing on Wednesday and Friday after our return from Kano and I think it will be physically too demanding for us.” Meanwhile goalkeeper for the Naze millionaires , Ebele Obi has disassociated himself from the purported lawsuit against Chief Ifeanyi Uba instituted by the National Assocaition of Nigerian Footballers(NANF). In a release made available by Heartland media officer, Solomon Onu, the Anambra -born player said he and his family have decided to move on from the ugly incident. “In as much as I detest the barbaric actions of Ifeanyi Uba and his tugs against me, I and my family have decided to painfully move on. “It was a sad episode in my life but after a family meeting, I was advised by my family not to press charges.”
