Sean Dyche says Burnley's revival since Boxing Day has been down to a good work ethic and a return to the club's key core values.

Since slumping to a 5-1 home defeat to Everton over the festive period that left the Clarets in grave danger of being relegated, they have put together an eight-match unbeaten run and recorded an excellent 2-1 victory against Tottenham on Saturday.

Dyche said: "Watford are doing really well as we did last season, but the margins are tight and we're working really hard to look after ourselves.

"We're not bothered about anyone else and that has been a key focus from Christmas, get back to what we're about, what we stand for, the belief, the key core values, and I think that's glued us back together.

"The feeling in the camp has grown each game, and part of that is winning, but it's not just that, it's the undercurrent, it's been terrific and the players deserve massive credit for taking that on."

Burnley face Newcastle United at St James' Park on Tuesday and are 14/5 to beat Rafa Benitez's side and 16/1 to win the match from behind.
