Asamoah Gyan and Maxwell Konadu all voted Cristiano Ronaldo as their first picks for the 2014 FIFA Ballon D’Or award.

Gyan voted as the captain of the Black Stars while Konadu casted his during his time as interim coach of the side.

Both Ghana representatives voted Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo whom they played against the the 2014 World Cup.

The Portugal captain was chosen as the first picks of the Ghana duo which is equivalent to five points in the tallying system for the award.

Both again voted Lionel Messi in their second picks – equivalent to three points.

Gyan however voted Germany’s World Cup star Toni Kroos in his third pick while Thomas Muller was the preferred choice of Konadu in his third pick.

Cristiano Ronaldo eventually emerged the winner of this year’s event having garnered 37.66% of the total votes cast to beat rival Lionel Messi to win the award for the third time in his career.

Michael Oti-Adjei who represented the votes of Ghanaian journalists chose Cristiano Ronaldo in his first pick, Philip Lahm in second and Lionel Messi third.
