Cagliari midfielder Godfred Donsah has paid glowing tribute to manager Zdenek Zeman for given youngsters the chance to hone their talents.

The highly-rated Ghanaian combative midfielder is delighted with the opportunity being offered by the returnee coach.

Zeman played an influential role in the developing of the youngster and brought him to Cagliari from Hellas Verona.

But he sacked after poor string of results, leading to the appointment of Gianfranco Zola.

But the Italian side have re-engaged the coach after parting ways with the struggling Chelsea legend.

The 18-year-old has praised Zeman for given youngster the opportunity .

“Zeman is teaching me a lot. He’s a coach for young players. If you follow his instructions you’ll become a champion,” Donsah told SkySports Italia.

“With the return of Zeman, something has changed. With Zola, we played well, even though we claimed just one point. Football is a strange thing.

“Today you're up, the next day you are down. Zema is a coach who gives important opportunities to young players.”

The Manchester City and Liverpool target has netted twice this season in 18 appearances.
