Ghana U23 coach Malik Jabir says he is fine with the tough All Africa Games Group handed his side for the September tournament.

The Black Meteors will face rivals Nigeria, Senegal and Egypt in Brazzaville.

This will provide tantalizing fixtures when the tournament is played from 03-18 September.

Ghana are the defending champions after a penalty shoot-out victory over South Africa earned them historic gold medal in Maputo four year ago.

Jabir, an ex-Ghana international, is confident his band of players can repeat the dose.

“If you look at the two groups by name it doesn’t look the same. All the same, football in Africa, you cannot underrate anybody so I think since we all have been able to qualify to that level, it means we are equal. No point putting one over the other,” Jabir told Joy Sports

“In recent times, Ghana comes out to say there are in the group of death and in the end you will see that some other nation not in the group of death comes to take the trophy.”

The Bechem United technical director added: “I have played with Nigeria and I have got the opportunity to play Egypt in a friendly encounter but I know nothing about Senegal.”
