Ghana born defender Kofi Opare initiates move to switch allegiance to Canada

DC United defender Kofi Opare has initiated moves to switch allegiance to Canada.

The Ghana born defender has opted against playing for Ghana after several unsuccessful attempt to play for the West Africans.

Opare has started the process of switching allegiance to play for the North American country after submitting his document.

However the Ghanaian must have to wait a little longer since he has not fulfilled the requirement of residing in the country for five years.
