Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk is relishing the prospect of pairing Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen with Argentine attacker Mauro Icardi, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports:

Icardi returned to the team bench last weekend against Fenerbahce after a lengthy injury layoff, and Buruk is now eager to deploy the duo together.

"Mauro Icardi was included in the Fenerbahce match squad after training for just two days," Buruk told the club's media.

"His excitement to be back with the team was clear, both before and during the match."

With Galatasaray set to commence their UEFA Europa League campaign, Buruk believes the Osimhen-Icardi partnership will be pivotal.

"We're preparing to have both players play together," Buruk added.

"Teamwork and success are our focus. Everyone will contribute, and we'll rotate the squad accordingly."

Buruk hailed the potential impact of uniting Icardi and Osimhen.

"Having great players like Icardi and Osimhen together will be a significant boost for us."

The Turkish Super Lig champions will rely on the attacking duo to drive their domestic and European ambitions.

As Galatasaray embark on their Europa League journey, Buruk's tactical plans will likely revolve around unleashing the potent Osimhen-Icardi combination.
