Galatasaray president, Dursun Özbek has confirmed that Victor Osimhen will remain at the club for the entirety of the 2024/25 campaign, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Nigerian striker is currently on loan at the Turkish Super Lig champions from Napoli and has been in impressive form, scoring eight goals in nine appearances across all competitions.

Despite reports suggesting that Osimhen could leave Galatasaray for another club when the transfer window reopens in January, Özbek has reassured fans that the 25-year-old will stay at the club until next summer.

"Osimhen is our player this season," Özbek was quoted as saying by Sabah Spor. "Of course, all clubs want to transfer Osimhen at the end of the season. One of the most important factors is the formation of spending limits."

Özbek added that it is too early to speculate about Osimhen's future and that the club's focus is on winning the championship this season.

"Our goal this season is to be the champion and wear the 5th star," he said.
