Fulham Decide Against €24m Permanent Move for Samuel Chukwueze
Premier League side Fulham F.C. have reportedly opted not to activate the €24 million buy-option for Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze, meaning the Super Eagles star will return to AC Milan at the end of his loan spell, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
According to Italian outlet Tuttomercato, the West London club will allow the season-long loan to expire without pursuing a permanent transfer for the 27-year-old.
Chukwueze contributed three goals and four assists in all competitions during his time at Craven Cottage, offering useful depth and attacking options on the flanks throughout the campaign.
While his performances were considered steady and effective in spells, Fulham’s management have ultimately decided against committing to the full transfer fee.
The Nigerian international, who previously starred for Villarreal CF before joining AC Milan in 2023, is now expected to return to Italy for pre-season preparations with his parent club.
However, his long-term future at the San Siro remains uncertain, with several European clubs reportedly monitoring developments ahead of the summer transfer window.
Chukwueze’s pace, dribbling ability, and experience across Europe’s top leagues are expected to keep him in demand as the transfer market progresses.
