After two weeks of training in Accra, coach Sellas Tetteh says he is having to make do with his available arsenals as only 3 of 13 invited foreign-based from the 35-man provisional roster announced late March.

Forward Osei Barnes from Portuguese side Pacos Ferriera, Manchester City’s Yaw Yeboah as well as defender Emmanuel Ntim from French side Valenciennes are the players to have reported to camp. A couple more of the players are expected to arrive in Ghana during the weekend.

“We have three and we are still working very hard [to get the rest]. If we get, that is okay but the ones we have too is okay,” Ghana U-20 head coach Sellas Tetteh said.

“We are working towards that. These are some of the challenges. It is the way you manage and control the challenges that makes you who you are and we are managing it,” he added.

The Black Satellites after Thursday’s training session at the Accra Stadium have been released for a few days and will return for their Tuesday departure to New Zealand to intensify preparations.

Ghana will partake in a mini tournament that will have tournament hosts New Zealand, Qatar as well as the Black Satellites’ group opponents, Panama.

The team will after the mini tournament move to an acquired training camp in neighbouring Australia for a two-week period - May 15-29 before returning to New Zealand for the World Cup proper.
