Foden earns Guardiola plaudits
Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola heaped praise on Phil Foden after the youngster scored twice in a 4-1 FA Cup fifth-round win at Newport County.
The 18-year-old forward has had to fight for first-team opportunities with the Citizens, despite being widely seen as one of the biggest talents in the English game.
He's a player who is ready - ready to play.

However, he made a major statement in the victory on Saturday, with Guardiola clearly impressed by the performance of the England Under-21 international.
The Spaniard told reporters: "Phil has to compete with Kevin De Bruyne, with Ilkay Gundogan, with Bernardo Silva, with David Silva, but he's a player who is ready - ready to play.
"And this was a good test for him, with second balls, long balls, he had to adapt. He learned a lot, I'm sure, and he helped us to win the game with two incredible goals.
"We know that he's a guy who gets close to the box and has this mentality to score goals - he has the ability to do that. He was brilliant, he was top-class."
The Citizens can now be backed at 1/1 to lift the FA Cup this season, with Manchester United available at 13/2 and holders Chelsea 6/1.
Meanwhile, City are back in action on Wednesday evening when they head to Germany to take on Schalke in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.
The Citizens then move on to face Chelsea in the final of the Carabao Cup next Sunday, with the men from Manchester one win away from retaining the trophy.
