Flying Eagles arrive Nigeria, receive grand welcome from Sport Ministry

The ministry of Youth and Sports development yesterday hosted the Flying Eagles of Nigeria in the Nation’s capital, Abuja.

The Flying Eagles won a bronze medal at the just concluded U-20 AFCON in Egypt after defeating Tunisia in the third place match.

The minister of Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare praised the young stars for their efforts and applauded them for winning bronze for the country.

He further said he was impressed with the team but urged the technical team to put in place tactics that would enable the team to score more goals.

He also promised to visit the team during their training and that the team would always get the necessary support.

"I want to applaud the team for a good show in Egypt, I was in Egypt to watch you play and I must say the team played beautiful football”

“I do not envy the technical crew but I believe they know what to do”.

The coach of the team, Ladan Bosso thanked the ministry for their support and promised for a better outing at the World Cup.

He added that the main target of the team is to be celebrated in the Villa after winning the World Cup in Indonesia.

“I have said it before, our main target is to be celebrated in the Villa after we win the World Cup”

“We will build up the team and work in areas that needs to be perfect ahead of the World Cup.”
