Nigeria’s Flamingoes have qualified for their fifth successive FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup on the heels of the 1-0 victory over South Africa on Saturday afternoon.

The Nigeria U17s humiliated the girls from South Africa 6-0 in the first leg and qualified 7-0 on aggregate.

The Flamingoes went into the intermission 1-0 up ,courtesy of Rasheedat Ajibade, who scored in the 29th minute in Tembisa.

In the last three editions of the tournament, the Flamingoes got out of the group stage but were knocked out in the quarterfinals, while they crashed out in the first round in their maiden appearance back in 2008.

Jordan will host the 2016 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup from 30 September – 21 October.
