Yusif Chibsah, 31, played for the first time in a GAIS shirt on Tuesday with a cameo for the U21 side of the Swedish second-tier side on Sunday.

The experienced Ghanaian midfielder signed a one-year contract last month after leaving Turkish second-tier side Alanyaspor.

But a foot injury sidelined the former Ghana international.

Chibsah played 30 minutes as GAIS’s U21 beat Jonkoping Sodra 4-3.

“If everything goes as it should, he can be ready for the first team in May,” said GAIS assistant coach Jesper Ljung.
