Ghana will reach the knock-out stage of the U20 World Cup in New Zealand on Friday if they manage to hold Panama in their last Group B game.

The Black Satellites must avoid defeat in the match against the South Americans to be assured of a place in the knock out phase as three teams can qualify from the group.

This comes after Ghana survived a late fight-back to beat Argentina 3-2 in Group B at the Under-20 World Cup in New Zealand on Tuesday.

Benjamin Tetteh, Clifford Aboagye and a penalty from Yaw Yeboah (pictured) gave Ghana a 3-0 lead by the 70th minute.

Giovanni Simeone and Emiliano Buendiabefore then scored in the last 10 minutes for Argentina.

The result means Ghana have four points along with Austria, who earlier in the day beat Panama 2-1, the Black Satellites top Group B on goals scored.

Yeboah's penalty was his second goal of the tournament after he scored to salvage a draw for Ghana against Austria on the opening day of the tournament.

Ghana's final Group B game is against Panama on Friday while Austria face Argentina at the same time.
