Ghana have began the process to secure FC Porto starlet Agbenyenu Lumor for Ghana U20 FIFA World Cup campaign in New Zealand.
Ghana Football Association Communicators Director Ibrahim Sannie has confirmed the Association is working around the clock to secure the gifted wing-half for Ghana's tournament.
Lumor, dubbed Messi, can play in either defensive role as a full-back and attacking as winger.
While the GFA is working to secure Lumor from Porto, they are also keeping tabs on Cagliari defender Godfred Donsah, 18, who has been a revelation in the Italian Serie A.
"New players who fall under the age 20 will be called to the Black Satellites team. Players like Godfred Donsah(Cagliari), Agbenyenu Lumor (FC Porto) who where refused by their clubs will surely make it to New Zealand to seal up certain deficiencies in the team," Sannie told Football Made in Ghana.
Ghana had only one foreign-based player at the 2015 African Youth Championship, where they placed third, beating Mali in the bronze medal game.

Daniel Amartey of black stars is just 19 years. I think Tetteh could use him if he really wants to do well at the world cup.

Why do we keep doing this? Some players qualify us to the World Cup and others are brought in to take their place. This is the same thing that happened to JEREMIAH AKORFUL. He was one of our best players in the African Championship. He helped qualify Ghana to the World Cup only for Baba Rahman to be invited to take his position. He did not play a single minute in the World Cup, yet, he was good enough to help qualify us for the World Youth Championship. Today, where is Baba Rahman and where is Jeremiah Akorful?
