Plateau United triumphed over Enyimba FC in the battle between two Nigeria Premier Football League in the Nigeria Federation Cup round of 32 encounter on Wednesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Jos Boys edged it against their rivals on penalties 3-2 after coming back to end the tie at two all after regulation time at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.

Ifeanyi Emmanuel turned the ball into the net in the 44th minute before Chigozie Chilekwu’s freekick in the 75th minutes gave the People's Elephant a two-goal lead.

However, Enyimba who played with a man down after 57 minutes after Chibuike Nwaiwu got a second booking capitulated and conceded two goals to make it 2-2 with few minutes to the end of the match.

First, Saidu Salisu converted from the penalty spot in the 88th minute after Mustapha Ibrahim Yuga was upended by Chikamso Okechukwu before Moses Adikwu headed home in stoppage time.

Enyimba missed three penalty kicks as Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu's boys took the day, winning the penalty shoot out 3-2 and migrate to the round of 16.
