4,000 t-shirts have been binned by the Football Association before England's World Cup Qualifier against Malta on the 8th October, due to the inclusion of a Sam Allardyce quote.

The recent allegations of corruption over third-party ownership involving transfers and unacceptable comments made in reference to a number of personnel in a recorded video with Daily Telegraph journalists prompted the FA to part company with England manager Allardyce, 67 days after his unveiling on the 27th September.

The FA had aspired to commemorate the former Bolton, Blackburn and Sunderland manager's Wembley debut by marking the t-shirts with Sam's words - "The journey starts with us all pulling together", which was said on the day he succeeded Roy Hodgson.

With a mosaic being cancelled as well as the t-shirts, the FA are said to have lost £25,000 in the space of a few days.

In the video released by the Daily Telegraph, Allardyce was caught negotiating a £400,000 deal with reporters, who had posed as businessmen from the Far East.

He additionally gave advice on how to twist FA transfer rules regarding third-party ownership.

He had also mocked his predecessor's speech, leaving the FA with no option but to unfortunately terminate the contract of a man who had described the opportunity as the 'dream job'.
