Asante Kotoko have rejected a trial deal for top striker Amed Toure, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 28-year-old was expected to travel to Egypt on Thursday to begin a two-week trial session with the top-flight side but that has been put on ice.

Kotoko are demanding a straight deal for the striker who has hit double-figures this term for the defending League champions.

The club has thus canceled the deal with is believed to have infuriated the Burkina Faso international.

Toure, adjudged the 2011 Ghana Premier League Most Valuable Player, courted controversy during his last trip to Egypt three years ago.

He had signed a pre-contract with El Gouna but the club later revealed he was HIV/AIDS positive.

Toure released the report of a test taken at the Al Moktabar Laboratories in Cairo on August 9, 2012 and signed by Dr Hend El Sherbini which he tested negative.
