The 18-year-old will seal the deal with the un-named club as soon as Cagliari accept the offer tabled as the transfer market is set for full activity this summer.

The tabling of the offer means the highly rated Ghanaian will leave the relegated Italian Serie A side this summer as the first of the expected several offers starts to trickle in.

The identity of the club who have slapped in their offer for Donsah is unknown but insiders have told Ghana's leading football news outfit, www.ghanasoccernet.com that Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven are the most likely team to have tabled the lucrative offer.

That is because English side Tottenham has also earmarked the Ghanaian as one for the future as they were also reported to be interested in the talented star.

But the Spurs are not the only club tracking the youngster as Premier League rivals West Bromwich Albion, Stoke City and Sunderland have made their interest in the defensive midfielder known.

Cagliari went down into Serie B after 11 years, as yesterday’s 1-0 home defeat to Palermo proved the final straw.

The Italian club's director Francesco Marroccu has revealed that they have received an offer for the Ghanaian as the most impressive names in the squad are bound to look elsewhere for their next career move.

“I can confirm we’ve received offers for Donsah and Ekdal,” Cagliari director of sport Marroccu said after the match with Palermo.

The Ghanian midfielder has impressed in the Serie A this season and his performances have caught the attention of Premier League scouts.

The 18-year-old defensive midfielder moved to Italy from his home land in 2013, but failed to make a single appearance for Palermo in his first season at the club.

He was loaned to Verona for the 2013/14 season, but made just the one appearance off the bench.

This season, following his move to Cagliari, he has made several impressive appearances for the first-team and has impressed managers in Europe with his performances in the middle of the park.

The 18-year-old midfielder, who can also play at right-back, is contracted to the Serie A club until the summer of 2018, but an offer from a club in the top tier of English football might turn the youngster's head and tempt Cagliari into cashing in on the midfielder.

His transfer could delay because he is expected to join Ghana's squad for the U20 Wold Cup in New Zealand.
