Ghanaian striker Ernest Asante has signed a three-year contract with Norwegian top-flight Staebek, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 26-year-old moves from fellow Eliteserien side IK Start where he spent four years playing for the club in the top-flight and second-tier league.

Last season, the former Fetteh Feyenoord trainee scored 8 goals in 26 appearances as Start finished 12th on the league.

Asante joins compatriot Kamal Issah who is a new signing for coach Bob Bradley.

The Norwegian Eliteserien begins in 6 April and Staebek are in action on that day against Haugesund.
