Ghana Olympic team striker David Opoku will sign a one-year deal with United Arab Emirates side Masafi Sporting Club by the close of the week, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 23-year-old arrived in the gulf on Tuesday morning to put pen-to-paper on the 12 months deal.

The former Sanat Mes Kerman FC attacker will undergo the mandatory medical before he seals the switch to the Masafi-based side.

Opoku has emerged as the leading striker for the Black Meteors and expected to play a key role in their qualifying campaign to the 2015 All Africa Games and the Olympics Games in Rio 2016.

He has had stints with Finish sides Myllykosken Pallo and IF Gnistan.
