Former Hearts of Oak star Dan Quaye wants to prove he has more to offer after signing a one-year deal with Bechem United.

The 34-year-old penned the deal last Friday night after protracted contract talks.

Quaye has been without a club since leaving Chinese side Beijing Baxy in 2012 but have been training with some local clubs.

The experienced right-back had been training with some local clubs including Hearts and Heart of Lions but has decided to play competitively now.

"He just wants to prove a point he can still play at the highest and has not look anything at all," a club source told GHANASoccernet.com

Quaye was an unused substitute for Ghana at the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.

He should be available for the club's subsequent matches after missing their opening 1-0 defeat at BA United last Saturday.
