Ex-Ghana defender Sammy Kuffuor has hailed the turnout of the city derby match between Hearts and Great Olympics and feels it will help to heighten the interest  of the domestic league.

The hugely-anticipated clash has earned ravew reviews after an estimated 15000 supporters throng the stadium to witness the grueling encounter at the Accra sports stadium on Sunday.

And the Bayern Munich legend was left thrilled with the quality of performance and the atmosphere.

“It was a wonderful game, I enjoyed it," Kuffour told allsports.com.gh

"The output of the two teams was good and the supporters were there in their numbers to fill the stands for me it was good and it can help to bring the local league up again.”

The two teas sold out an entertaing 0-0 draw at the Accra sports stadium with many heaping praise on the Ghana FA, the media and the two clubs for a great atmosphere.
