Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has chosen a new jersey number ahead of the upcoming Premier League season, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Nigeria international, who has worn the number 25 shirt since joining the Foxes from Racing Genk in 2017, will now don the number 6 jersey, previously worn by Johnny Evans.

Ndidi's decision comes after signing a new three-year contract with Leicester City last month, securing his future at the King Power Stadium until 2026.

The 27-year-old defensive midfielder has made 273 appearances for the Foxes, scoring 17 goals and providing 17 assists.

Ndidi's switch to the number 6 shirt marks a new chapter in his Leicester City career, as he prepares for another season in the Premier League.
