EPL: Chukwueze sets sights on Fulham regularity
Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze is focused on becoming a regular at Fulham, following a promising start to life in the Premier League, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The 26-year-old Nigeria international joined the Cottagers on loan from AC Milan in the summer and has made a strong impression, registering three assists in six league appearances.
Chukwueze was handed his first start by manager Marco Silva in Fulham's 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, and he seized the opportunity with both hands, claiming the Man of the Match award for a superb display.
“I wasn’t expecting it today. But I was focused on doing the hard work. The last months have been a bit difficult, but I kept my head down and kept working. I took the opportunity today,” he said after the game.
Chukwueze's impressive form has raised hopes that Fulham may look to make his loan move permanent, with the option to buy reportedly set at around €23m.
Silva has praised Chukwueze's attitude and quality, and the winger will be looking to continue his good work as Fulham aim for a top-half finish.
