Nigeria's Ebenezer Akinsanmiro opened his goal-scoring account for Sampdoria in their big win away from home on Sunday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

He scored the first goal of his pro career, with a fine finish in Sampdoria's [3-5] Italian Serie B victory over Cesena at the Orogel Stadium - Dino Manuzzi.

Prestia opened for the home side 13 minutes into the game with a header courtesy of a cross by Calo.

2 minutes later, Coda turned the ball into his net to restore parity for Sampdoria.

Dutchman Meulensteen put the visitors in front for the first time in the 22 minute however Adamo equalised 8 minutes later to end the first half 2-2.

Meulensteen brought Sampdoria back into the lead after 9 minutes of action in the second half with a fine header.

Tutino put the ball at the bottom corner on 62 minutes to make it 4-2 for Sampdoria.

Substitute Kargbo beat goalkeeper Silvestri with a cross-shot to reduce the deficit to one for Cesena.

However, Akinsanmiro who came in the 75th minute consolidated victory for the Sampdoria 2 minutes into the end of the encounter.

The 19-year-old got the ball at the edge of the ball, brought it to his right, and hit a low shot to seal victory for Sampdoria who are now 12th on the log with 11 points same as Cesena who are now 13th.
