Remo Stars forward Sikiru Alimi has attributed his prolific goal-scoring in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) to total dedication and hard work, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The former Shooting Stars striker has netted 14 goals this season, making him the joint-highest goalscorer in the league alongside Enyimba’s Chijoke Mbaoma.

“Scoring 14 goals in the NPFL has not been easy; it’s been hard work,” Alimi told Rooted in the Game.

“I’m still very much active and pushing to add to the tally and help my team achieve our objective at the end of the season.”

Remo Stars currently occupy the second position on the table with one point behind Enugu Rangers who is the league leader.

The title defenders are contending to to retain the NPFL title this season with 6 games left to play.
