Deborah Abiodun back at Washington Spirit after loan recall from Dallas Trinity FC
Deborah Abiodun is back with Washington Spirit after a loan recall from Dallas Trinity FC, returning to DC four months early as her loan was termed through the end of the 2025 calendar year, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Fresh off the WAFCON conquest with Super Falcons, Abiodun gathered over 750 minutes of action across 14 appearances and eight starts during her time with Dallas.
“We’re thrilled to bring Deb back to the Spirit as we approach the home stretch of the 2025 season,” said Interim General Manager Nathan Minion.
“After following her impressive performances with Dallas and Nigeria this year, we know Deb will fit very well with this team and help us accomplish our goals.”
Abiodun began her professional career in January when she signed a three-year contract with the Washington Spirit, which includes a club option through the 2028 season. The move came after an impressive two-year collegiate stint at the University of Pittsburgh, where she established herself as one of the top emerging talents in the game.
She is back with the team, where she will now form a partnership with fellow countryman, Gift Monday.
