Roberto De Zerbi said James Maddison performed very well before being substituted during Tottenham’s 2-0 victory over Chelsea in the eighth round of the English league campaign.
“While he was on the pitch, he played very well,” Tottenham manager De Zerbi said when asked about Maddison’s early withdrawal.
