Controversial ex-Hearts coach Polo backs club's decision to sack 'failure' Herbert Addo
Ex-Hearts coach Mohammed Polo has backed the club’s decision to sack ‘failure’ Herbert Addo.
The capital-based side terminated the contract of the veteran trainer on mutual ground after less than a year in charge on Tuesday.
The club’s management finally bowed to pressure to dispense with the services of the former Aduana Stars trainer following a difficult Premier League campaign this season.
The club’s failure to make the FA Cup final broke the camels back as the two parties parted ways after a showdown meeting.
And former coach Mohammed Polo, who was replaced by Herbert Addo is delighted with the decision to sack the coach he labels as a ‘failure’
"It is good he has been sacked because I have been there before. I went through other problems as well as players problems but I was able to manage the players and the team to a position that is respected by everybody, he told Kasapa FM
"If He has got all the opportunities with the plan that he had in his hand and even his boys even had an exposure at the Africa Championship and still he cannot perform, what else does he need to perform? I think it’s disappointing to Herbert Addo. He is a failure.”
Former Berekum Chelsea coach Tony Lokko has been lined up as his replacement.
