Ghana midfielder Seidu Salifu played the entire duration Club Africain qualified for the play-offs of the Confederation Cup on Friday evening with a 1-0 win over ASO Chlef in Radès.

The former Ghana U20 star came off the bench to play the last quarter of the match as a 43rd minute goal from midfielder Imed Méniaoui was all the Tunisian side needed to advanced.

Club Africain advanced 2-1 on aggregate following their 1-1 draw in Chlef in the first leg.

The Algerians came close to equalising in the 74th minute, hitting the cross-bar, while Méniaoui had a chance to bag his second of the evening four minutes later.

Coach Daniel Sanchez’ men held onto their narrow advantage until the final whistle, to get one step closer to booking their spot in the tournament’s last eight.
