Chelsea have decided to negotiate deals for Victor Osimhen and Romelu Lukaku separately, after initial attempts to discuss a swap deal between the two strikers stalled, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Blues will now focus on selling Lukaku to Napoli on a permanent basis, with personal terms already agreed upon.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will work on a separate deal to bring Osimhen to Stamford Bridge from Napoli.

Romano revealed that Chelsea are only open to a permanent sale for Lukaku, with talks ongoing between the two clubs.

The decision to pursue separate deals for the two strikers suggests that Chelsea are keen to strengthen their attacking options, while also finding a suitable solution for Lukaku's future.
