Kick-off: August 16-18, 2024 (Preliminary Round) Group Stages: October - December 2024 Knockout Phase & Finals: March - May 2025 Team Allocation:

The top 12 ranked Member Associations according to CAF rankings will be eligible to enter two clubs each in both competitions:

Algeria, Angola, Côte d'Ivoire, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Nigeria, DR Congo, South Africa, Sudan, Tunisia, and Tanzania

Registration:

Member Associations can now register their qualified clubs on the CAF Competitions Management System (CMS) according to the following windows:

July 1-20: Players for the Preliminary Round July 21-August 31: Players for the Second Preliminary Round September 1-30: Players for the Group Stages January 1-31, 2025: Up to 7 additional players (including 4 replacements)

Competition Format:

The previously planned second preliminary round for the CAF Confederation Cup has been scrapped. This means:

Teams eliminated from the second round of the CAF Champions League will not be transferred to the Confederation Cup. Clubs advancing from the Confederation Cup's second preliminary round will progress directly to the group stage.
