Premier League club, Brentford are in advanced negotiations with Fiorentina to sign Nigerian-born defender Michael Kayode, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

According to Violanews, Brentford want to sign the 20-year-old on loan with the option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.

However, Fiorentina are keen to include a buy-back clause in the deal, which could impact the negotiations.

Kayode impressed for Fiorentina last season, making 26 league appearances, but has struggled to secure regular playing time under manager Raffaele Palladino this term.
