The Black Stars management committee engaged captain Asamoah Gyan in a marathon meeting on Wednesday to discuss the team’s budget for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

The management headed by George Afriyie sought to convince Gyan on the new bonus scheme laid down by the Sports Ministry.

They also wanted to collate any dissenting views from the Black Stars captain on behalf of his team to be forwarded to the Sports Ministry.

It will be recalled that Deputy Sports Minister Vincent Oppong Asamoah revealed in details the new bonus scheme for the Black Stars as one of the means to curb the shameful bonus row that rocked Ghana’s camp at the 2014 World Cup.

A flat amount of $5000 is to be paid to each player during the 2015 AFCON to be staged in Equatorial Guinea regardless of the result.

The players will also receive a $60,000 booty once they manage to win the tournament to be staged in Equatorial Guinea.

The Deputy Minister insisted the offer is not negotiable tagging it a ‘take it or leave it’ affair.

This stance however appears not to have gone down well with some of the players of the Black Stars team.

Their dissenting views is suspected to have been tabled to the Black Stars management committee in a meeting on New Year’s Eve.

It is unclear whether a resolution was reached after the meeting which is understood to have lasted for hours.

The Black Stars have already commenced non-residential preparations towards the 2015 AFCON.

The team will travel for the pre-tournament camp in Spain on Sunday.

Ghana is drawn in the toughed group at this year's finals where they will be facing Senegal, South Africa and Algeria in Group C which is based in Mongomo.
