Ahead of the south-west derby between Shooting Stars and Remo Stars in the Nigeria Professional Football League, 3SC chairman, Babatunde Olaniyan has called on the home fans to come out in numbers and shout down their the Sky Blue, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Shooting of late have been impressive in the league rekindling the possibilities of qualifying for the Super Six. However, the Oluyole Warriors’ intention could be put test when they face a wounded lion in Remo Stars.
Remo Stars are third in Group A, three plays more than Shooting and even five point better. But Babatunde is charging the boys to go for the win while he call on the fans for support on Sunday at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.
“I want to appeal to our fans to come out in large numbers to cheer us to victory on Sunday and we promise to give them the desired result”.Olaniyan stated as per Daily Post.
Shooting Stars is currently in sixth position on the Group A table.
“We are not losing hope as far as picking a continental ticket is concerned. Finishing in the top three is still very much possible. We are on course and I’m sure we will make it.”
Remo Stars are unbeaten in the last six but was sanctioned for their unruly behavior towards the match officials in their last game.
