As the Africa Cup of Nations is set to get underway in Equatorial Guinea, we look at which Spanish clubs lost the most players to this year's tournament.

Looking at the Spanish La Liga, there is not as much of a challenge to clubs losing players as there is in other countries. Most clubs only lost one player.

The two clubs that will be most affected by the AFCON are Barcelona and Osasuna. The latter will miss out on three players, whilst Barcelona have provided two to the tournament.

Osasuna will miss out on the experienced Liassine Cadamuro, who will be doing duties for Algeria and ensuring that their defence is stable. The 28-year old has been with the national team since 2012. The calm defender has made 12 appearances for the club since arriving in 2014 on loan.

Another player that the Spain club will have to try and manage without is Cedric Mabwati. Mabwati, who plays for Congo, is one of the most improved players and the future of his national team. He has paid his dues in the youth teams before getting his call up to the senior national team last year. The winger has made 13 appearances despite not scoring any goals, but surely Osasuna will feel the pressure of not having him around.

The last player from the Osasuna club is Cedric Loe, who will be rendering his services for Cameroon. The defensive midfield has been an influential player in the Spanish side and has made 65 appearances since joining the club in 2012.

On the other hand, Barcelona will have to do without goalkeeper Joseph Ebogo, who arrived at the club when he was just 13 years of age. Although he has not made any appearances he surely would gain more confidence when he returns from the AFCON.

The club will also have to manage without the 19-year-old Franck Bagnack, who is one of Cameroon's blooming stars. Having made his move to Barcelona at a tender age of 13, he has grown to be a solid central defender. He reads the game very well and has great belief in himself.
